Dauan Jacari is a New York City fashion label founded in 2019 by self-taught designer DJ Chappel - East Village raised, dance-trained, and driven by the relationship between clothing and movement. Originally launched as Duality Junkie, the brand rebranded in 2023 with a clear vision: creating primary resources for following generations of gay Black men. Best known for the cult Spiral Boxer Skirt - a deconstructed plaid boxer short-turned-prairie skirt beloved by Charli XCX, Chloë Sevigny, and New York's fashion underground - Dauan Jacari made its runway debut at the LGBT Community Centre in 2024 and showed at London Fashion Week in 2025.
